African nativity scene in bronze

Handmade nativity scene from Burkina Faso, West Africa.

Handcrafted using the metal technique of the "cera perdida" that prints unique and unrepeatable characteristics to each character.

consists of 12 pieces: María, José, the child in his crib ( surrounded in cotton), 5 animals, 3 shepherds/kings and a hut whose roof is removable.

The disproportion of sizes is characteristic of African art, making the child Jesus the main piece of the scene.

The pieces are around 5-7cm.
