Ethiopian Gabra bracelets

Antique Ethiopian snake head bracelets. The eyes are filled with a colored resin (red- yellow- azul) and the body of the bracelet is decorated with subtle engravings on the outside.

This type of aluminum bracelets are worn by many tribes in the Oromo Valley in southern Ethiopia, although each tribe has its own characteristics that differentiate them.. They are made using aluminum from European pots and cutlery from the mid-20th century.
They have a wonderful patina of use. Aluminum does not rust or cause allergies.
They are rigid bracelets 1cm thick and with an inner diameter of 7cm. (2.75"inch). They cannot be opened.
