Tuareg pocket amulet

We bought this small bag in the north of Mali, Mopti, a few ago 20 years and has remained in our collection ever since..
It is used, can be seen in the patina of the skin and fringes, on the other hand, impeccably preserved.
Made of goatskin dyed red and green on the flap and edges.
Decorated with small golden beads and cotton thread trimmings creating geometric designs. The white line design on the top is made with white plastic thread..
The central leather measures 10 cm long by 8 wide and the side fringes measure 18-19 cm long and the central one about 8 cm.
The internal pocket is small, more like to keep some kind of amulet.
The strap is two fairly long cotton cords (110 cm) which make the amulet focus on the navel area.
