The Gan are an ethnic group from southwestern Burkina Faso., neighbors of the well-known Lobi. His bronze amulets are mainly dedicated to the animals of his kingdom and the protective forces they represent.. This bronze ring is probably from the mid-20th century and has been displayed on some altar that the Gan have next to the fire in their home invoking the protection and powers of the scorpion..
