Antique slave bracelet

We found this bracelet in a small town in the south of Mali, border with Burkina Faso, Africa de Oeste.
Due to the nest of cultures in the region it can be Mossi (Burkina Faso), Fulani (Niger) or Bambara ( Mali).

It is divided into two parts that fit together to form a perfect circumference..
This type of bracelet was used both as currency and as a cutting utensil..

The use of bronze alloys was common, copper and aluminum for this type of parts.

Peso 950gr. Inner circumference 17cm.
